Our Favorite West Seattle Businesses

We may be a little biased, but West Seattle is one of our favorite neighborhoods. This is due to the numerous wonderful small businesses that proudly serve the community. From coffee shops to restaurants, gift shops, and fitness studios, we’re featuring some of our favorite West Seattle businesses that we highly recommend supporting, whether you’re gift shopping or looking to try a new cocktail.

Food, Coffee + Cocktails

C+P Coffee

Just a couple of doors down from our office, and a long-time West Seattle staple, C+P Coffee Company keeps us nice and caffeinated all year round. The coffee shop provides a cozy atmosphere, both indoor + outdoor, for folks to get some work done or catch up with a friend. Check out their event schedule to catch the next open mic or musical gathering.

Otter on the Rocks

The new kid on the block! Otter on the Rocks opened in March of this year in the Admiral Junction and quickly became a West Seattle hot spot. This cocktail bar focuses on expertly prepared cocktails full of house infusions and syrups. Visit their event calendar to check out their next Comedy Night, Open Mic, or Jazz Night.

Husky Deli

When we need to feed The Hill Team, Husky Deli is our go-to! Established in 1932, Husky Deli is one of West Seattle’s oldest and most beloved icons. From their hand-crafted ice cream to their superb catering services and international grocery selection, they have something for every palette. We recommend grabbing a scoop of their "Husky Flake" ice cream the next time you visit.

Bakery Nouveau

This one's a must-visit! Bakery Nouveau has a breathtaking line-up of sweets and savories. From perfectly flakey croissants to delicious macarons and danishes, it's no surprise Bakery Nouveau has been featured in several local, regional, and national publications. West Seattle is the first of its three locations (the others are in Capitol Hill and Burien). The twice-baked almond croissant is particularly spectacular, though you can't go wrong with anything you order.

Dough Joy

What started as a food truck in May of 2021, is now a cute donut shop in West Seattle, Capitol Hill + Ballard. Dough Joy has added a dash of sugar and color to the Alaska Junction strip. This plant-based donut shop is not only instagram-able, but also super tasty. The coffee is great too. They can get quite busy on the weekends, sometimes with a line down the block, so plan accordingly!

Dream Dinners

The original at-home meal kit company, located in the heart of West Seattle! Want to serve up a fresh meal at home without any of the hassle? Dream Dinners has got your back. Not only are the meals tasty, but all of the ingredients come prepped and chopped, leaving you with just the cooking. Bonus: no subscription is necessary! Nos Nos

Nos Nos coffee shop offers a variety of classic coffee drinks, but with a twist. Its decor is Mediterranean inspired and its coffee is Moroccan. The Nos Nos staff offer a friendly environment, and carefully craft each beverage. Make sure to grab a sandwich or pastry while you’re there, too!

Mioposto

Mioposto is an open-flame pizzeria, Italian kitchen, and bar, with West Seattle being one of their four neighborhood locations. Delicious aromas of fresh ingredients fill the space as soon as you enter the restaurant. Sit at the bar to get a front-row seat to the captivating pizza-making. In addition to dinner, they have a great lunch, happy hour, and brunch on the weekends.

Locust Cider

Locust Cider and Brewing Company offers creatively delicious cider flavors, like Smoked Blueberry, Dates and Brown Sugar, or Vanilla Bean ciders. The Alki beach location has board games and retro video games. We recommend asking the staff for a couple of tasters of their favorites before making your decision. Or order a flight! They also offer growlers and cans for purchase.

Circa

This popular grill and alehouse has been in West Seattle for 24 years and is 100% family owned and operated. Their menu is thoughtful, comforting, and darn tasty. Whether you're looking for brunch, lunch, dinner, or happy hour, Circa has got you covered with something that will hit the spot. A meal here also pairs wonderfully with a night out to the movies at the Admiral Theater down the street.

West Seattle Nursery
